Former England spinner Graeme Swann was the wrecker-in-chief for the Gujarat Giants in Legends League Cricket 2022. The 43-year-old off-spinner picked six wickets in as many matches at an average of 24.83 and an economy of 7.84.

Graeme Swann’s best bowling figures of 3-0-21-2 came against Irfan Pathan-led Bhilwara Kings at the Barkatullah Khan Stadium in Jodhpur. The legendary spinner cleaned bowled Australia’s Shane Watson before dismissing compatriot Nick Compton to produce a magnificent bowling spell.

Swann continued his impressive form throughout the tournament as he became the go-to bowler for Gujarat Giants captain Virender Sehwag and stand-in skipper Parthiv Patel.

Apart from Shane Watson and Nick Compton, Swann also dismissed the likes of William Porterfield and Morne van Wyk of Bhilwara Kings as well as India Capitals’ Solomon Mire and Suhail Sharma.

Former Sri Lanka fast bowler Thisara Perera was the second highest wicket-taker for Gujarat Giants in the recently-concluded edition of LLCT20. The right-arm pacer bagged five wickets in five innings at an economy of 7.78 and an average of 21.80. Interestingly, Gujarat Giants’ left-arm spinner KP Appanna also scalped five wickets in the T20 tournament at an economy of 8.04.
