As the much-anticipated Season 7 of Pro Kabaddi will kick start on 20th July 2019, last year’s runners up and one of the tournaments’ favourite, Gujarat Fortune Giants, have started their training at Sports Authority of India (SAI) in Gandhinagar, Gujarat.
As every team seeks to find the edge ahead of the new PKL season, Gujarat Fortune Giants are doing everything they can to recreate the pressure of a real match even during their training sessions.
The giants started their preparation on 13th May with all the lead players and the Head Coach, Manpreet Singh and the rest of the players also joined by the 20th May. People who have seen Manpreet Singh know that how hard he makes all the players train.
The cornerstones of the team, their cover defenders Parvesh Bhainswal and the Captain Sunil Kumar were put through various kinds of fitness drills by assistant coach, Neer Gulia, to increase their speed and agility on the mat.
Manpreet Singh is spending a lot of time with all the NYP players and making them feel welcomed, at the same is also inclined towards teaching them all the skills and mindset required to succeed in the league.
Manpreet is a firm believer that no matter how much physical training a player does, it cannot be substituted for match practice and so he makes his players play as many matches as possible to make them feel the real match pressure.
Besides training, Parvesh, Sunil and Sachin were seen enjoying some light-hearted moments while the other new young players were seen enjoying themselves in the pool on weekends.
