After eight intense games in this season of the Pro Kabaddi League, the Gujarat Giants gear up to face the Bengal Warriorz in Noida. It has not been the best of starts for us, as we have secured only one win so far, which came in our very first game against the Bengaluru Bulls. Since then, we have had a challenging streak, losing seven consecutive matches. However, we are determined to turn things around, and we believe this game could be the start of our comeback.

In our most recent game against the Patna Pirates, we started strong and were neck-and-neck with them in the first half. Unfortunately, the Pirates took control in the second half, showcasing their skill and resilience, and eventually beat us 27-40. Despite our best efforts to bounce back, Patna held firm and claimed the victory. But with 14 more games to play, we know that there’s plenty of time left in the season for us to fight back, regain momentum, and make an impact.

The Bengal Warriorz, on the other hand, have had a decent season so far. Out of the seven games they have played, they have won three, lost two, and tied two. Our former captain, Fazel Atrachali, now leads them, and his impressive defensive skills have made Bengal one of the teams to watch. They are coming into this match with high spirits, having recently beaten the Bengaluru Bulls. Winning two of their last three games, they are in great form and will be confident about their chances against us. This won’t be an easy task, but we are up for the challenge.

Historically, our clashes with the Bengal Warriorz have been competitive. Out of the 11 games we have faced them in, we have won five. Notably, we also won both games against them last season, which serves as a source of motivation for us. With our backs against the wall, we are taking inspiration from these past wins and believe that a turnaround is within reach. It’s time to fight, believe, and start our journey back up the standings.
