Gujarat Giants will lock horns with Bengal Warriors in a crucial Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) Season 9 fixture at the Shree Shivchhatrapati Sports Complex in Balewadi, Pune on Saturday, November 5.

Under the tutelage of head coach Ram Mehar Singh, the Gujarat Giants will aim to return to winning ways after going down 28-34 to Patna Pirates in their last match on Monday.

Ahead of their key clash against the Bengal Warriors, the Giants could once again miss the services of their captain Chandran Ranjit, who had suffered a shoulder injury in the game against U Mumba.

With four wins, four losses and one tie, the Giants are currently placed seventh in the PKL Season 9 standings with 25 points from nine matches.

Meanwhile, Rakesh has been the standout raider for the Giants in the ongoing season, having amassed 98 raid points in nine matches. Among the Giants’ defenders, Sourav Gulia has been in impressive form as he has already registered 25 successful tackles so far.

On the other hand, Bengal Warriors have recently struggled in the ongoing edition of PKL, having managed just a solitary win in their last five matches.

Led by star raider Maninder Singh, Bengal Warriors were held to a thrilling 41-41 tie by Tamil Thalaivas in their last game on Wednesday.

Having registered four wins, as many losses and one tie, the Warriors are currently placed below the Giants in the eighth spot with 24 points on the board.

For the Warriors, captain Maninder Singh has been in scintillating form, having completed 61 successful raids. In the defence, Warriors’ right cover Vaibhav Garje will be the player to watch out for, having already registered 20 successful tackles in nine matches.
