Our Gujarat Giants have bounced back in the tournament with a great performance against the Tamil Thalaivas. After a tough loss against the Haryana Steelers in our previous match, we delivered an impressive show against the Thalaivas that put us back on the winning track, and we are pleased with how things went in this game. After this win, we are confident that we will keep up the momentum.
The match began with Tamil Thalaivas scoring 2 points, but it took us just under 3 minutes to get our first point. ‘Highly Skilled’ Rakesh lived up to his nickname, starting with a successful Do or Die Raid and continued his excellent form throughout the game. We inflicted an All-Out with 7 minutes remaining in the first half. Rakesh and Rohit Gulia were the standout players in the first half, and we went into the half-time break with a 5-point lead.
The second half started just as dominantly, with us getting the second All-Out of the game. Although the Thalaivas tried to make a comeback with an All-Out of their own, it was too late. Fazel Atrachali scored his first points of the game just when it seemed that the Thalaivas were gaining momentum. Rakesh, who was already having an excellent game, completed a multi-point raid to secure our victory.
Rakesh was our star player, contributing 14 valuable points, and he received strong support from Rohit Gulia, Fazel, and the rest of the team. Our next match is against the Bengal Warriors in Kolkata on Friday, 9th February. We are happy to be back to winning ways and will aim to maintain this momentum in the upcoming matches.
