It was a tough day at work for the Gujarat Giants as we played against the Haryana Steelers for the second time this season. Despite being ahead by more than 10 points at the end of the first half, we ended up losing to a resurgent Steekees. But we believe we can make a strong comeback in our upcoming games.
The match kicked off with a successful raid from the Steelers, but Sonu and Sombir quickly helped us take the lead. The first half went really well, especially our defense led by Fazel Atrachali, who showed why he is considered the best defender in the League. His ankle holds were impressive, earning us 6 valuable points. He also pulled off the first All Out of the game, extending our lead to 15-7. Fazel's performance, along with Parteek Dahiya, helped us finish the first half with an 11-point lead, putting us on track for victory.
However, the Steelers were determined to turn things around in the second half. Despite being behind at half-time, they made a remarkable comeback. An All Out against us narrowed our lead, setting the stage for an exciting final quarter. The Haryana Steelers' defense was outstanding, causing us trouble. They executed another All Out and took the lead, holding onto it to win the game 34-30.
We will take this loss in stride, but we are confident in our ability to bounce back. Our next match is against Tamil Thalaivas on Sunday at the same venue. We are determined to recover from this setback and aim to get back into contention for the Playoffs.
