The Giants faced a tough match last night, with Tamil Thalaivas delivering a strong performance and handing us a challenging defeat in our fourth game. After two previous close games, we were eager for a win to get back on track. However, the Thalaivas proved to be a formidable opponent, showcasing great teamwork and skill that ultimately secured them a comfortable victory.

The game kicked off with Tamil Thalaivas taking an early lead as Narender scored a bonus point. Rakesh fought back for us with his own bonus point, bringing the score to a quick 1-1. However, Narender kept up his impressive form, delivering a 2-point raid that gave the Thalaivas another edge. Guman Singh then chipped in with a point for us, but Narender was unstoppable, securing his fourth point with another bonus. Guman continued to fight, managing a well-timed 2-point raid to level the score once again. But the Thalaivas kept up the pressure, scoring consistently to keep the momentum in their favor.

Despite our best efforts to stay in the game, the Thalaivas proved difficult to match. We managed to tie the score again at 7-7, showing resilience and determination. However, just as we inched closer, the Thalaivas found ways to pull away, keeping us at bay. When the score reached 13-13, the Thalaivas broke away with two crucial Super Tackles, regaining a lead. Their timely Super Tackles against Himanshu Singh put them further ahead, and by halftime, they held a 4-point lead with a score of 18-14.

The second half began with the Thalaivas keeping up their momentum, quickly extending their lead from 19-15 to a decisive 26-15. Narender Kandola continued his impressive night, achieving a Super 10. The Thalaivas also inflicted an All Out on us, adding to the challenge. Parteek Dahiya gave us hope with a multi-point raid, but we were trailing considerably. We worked hard to reduce the gap, bringing the score closer from 27-15 to 32-23. However, the Thalaivas responded with a Super Tackle, and Sahil Gulia completed his High 5, making it even harder for us to mount a comeback. Another Super Tackle from the Thalaivas sealed our fate, and the game concluded with a score of 44-25, marking our third consecutive defeat.

Though it was a tough night, there is still a lot of the season ahead of us. We are optimistic and ready to regroup as we prepare for our next game against Puneri Paltan on November 4, 2024. We’ll give our best to turn things around, and we look forward to your support as we chase our second win. See you at the game!
