It’s been a tough start to our season as we have faced our fifth straight loss in the Hyderabad leg. This is certainly not the beginning we were hoping for, but there’s still a lot of time left in the tournament. We remain optimistic and are focusing on bouncing back strong in the Noida leg.
The game began on a positive note for us, as Guman Singh secured two early points right at the start. It was a great way to get things going, and we couldn’t have asked for a better start. However, Haryana Steelers quickly found their rhythm, with Vinay getting a Super Raid to put them in the lead. He followed it up with another successful raid, and the Steelers were ahead 4-2. Guman Singh responded with another point, but Vinay kept the pressure on with another raid to maintain the Steelers’ lead.
As the game went on, Guman Singh continued to show his quality, earning a Super Tackle that helped us level the score. It was a fantastic moment, with Guman really leading the charge. Himanshu Singh stepped up as well, scoring a successful raid to give us the lead. But the Steelers weren’t backing down, and they tied the score once again. From there, Haryana started to build momentum and managed to secure an All Out, stretching the lead to 12-6. The Steelers extended their lead to 13-7, but we didn’t give up. We fought back with three quick points, but the Steelers answered back and moved ahead again. By the time we reached halftime, the score was 18-13 in favor of the Steelers.
In the second half, Guman Singh earned his second Super 10 in two games, following his impressive performance against Puneri Paltan. However, Shadloui managed to tackle Guman, making it 21-15. Himanshu Singh got another point for us, but the Steelers continued to chip away at our lead. We fought hard, and the score moved to 25-20, but the Steelers began to dominate towards the end. They racked up points quickly, inflicting another All Out, and the game ended with them taking the win 35-22.
While this wasn’t the result we hoped for in the Hyderabad leg, we are moving forward with confidence as we head to Noida. Our next match will be against the Haryana Steelers again on Sunday, 10th November. We believe in our team, and we know that a comeback is just around the corner!
