Gujarat Giants will lock horns with Bengal Warriors in an enthralling Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) Season 9 fixture at the Shree Shivchhatrapati Sports Complex in Balewadi, Pune on Saturday, November 12.

Led by captain Chandran Ranjit, the Giants head into the Warriors clash brimming with confidence, having defeated Bengaluru Bulls 46-44 in a thrilling game at the same venue last Sunday.

The two-time PKL finalists Gujarat Giants rode on another stunning performance from all-rounder Parteek Dhaiya, who bagged 16 points including completing eight successful raids. Parteek was well supported by Giants’ star raider Rakesh, who finished with yet another Super 10 including picking six touch points and four bonus points.

Meanwhile, the Giants will eye redemption against the Warriors after suffering a narrow defeat in their last meeting in the ongoing Pro Kabaddi.

Having registered five wins, as many losses and one tie, the Giants are currently placed ninth in the Pro Kabaddi Season 9 standings with 31 points from 11 matches.

On the other hand, Bengal Warriors will also be desperate for a win after being held 41-41 by U.P. Yoddhas in their previous match on Tuesday.

The Warriors will once again bank on their captain and star raider Maninder Singh, who has already accumulated 121 raid points in 11 matches so far.

With 32 points from 11 matches, the Warriors are placed eighth in the PKL 9 standings, having secured five wins, four defeats and two ties in the league so far.

Gujarat Giants vs Bengal Warriors head-to-head

Gujarat Giants and Bengal Warriors have clashed eight times previously in the Pro Kabaddi League, winning three matches apiece. Meanwhile, two matches have ended in ties.

However, the Giants suffered a 40-45 defeat against the Warriors in their last match in the ongoing edition of PKL.

Going by their recent form, the Ram Mehar Singh-coached Giants will aim to continue their winning momentum against the Warriors outfit on Saturday in order to stay in contention for the PKL 9 playoffs.
