The 10th season of the Pro Kabaddi League was thrilling, and our Gujarat Giants made us proud by making it to the Playoffs. Although we did not clinch the trophy, it was still a remarkable season, considering the tough competition. Our players showed incredible skill and determination in every game, never giving up till the very end.
Our raiders were especially outstanding this season. Let's take a closer look at their performances:
Sonu: He had a memorable season, particularly shining in the early games where his raids helped us secure victories. In 18 matches, Sonu scored 83 raid points with an average of 4.61 per game. He pulled off 5 Super Raids and achieved 4 Super 10s, boasting a 34% successful raid rate.
Rakesh Sungroya: Rakesh was undoubtedly one of our top players this season, consistently showcasing his skills on the mat. Playing in 21 matches, he earned 108 raid points, including 5 Super 10s and 2 Super Raids. With a successful raid rate of 37%, he averaged 5.14 raids per match.
Parteek Dahiya: Parteek had an exceptional season, playing a crucial role in our journey to the Playoffs. In 20 matches, he accumulated 130 raid points, conducting 9 Super Raids and securing 6 Super 10s. With a successful raid rate of 36%, he delivered an outstanding performance, including a massive 22 raid points in a single game against Bengal Warriors.
Rohit Gulia: Our vice-captain, Rohit Gulia, also had a solid season, contributing significantly to the team's success. In 16 games, he earned 50 raid points with an average of 3.12 per match. With a successful raid rate of 40%, he achieved 1 Super Raid, showcasing his prowess on the mat.
While our campaign ended in the Eliminator against Haryana Steelers, we can still celebrate the remarkable performances of our raiders this season. Let's look forward to seeing them shine again next year!
