Gujarat Giants played a nail-biter in their last match against Patna Pirates and lost narrowly 26-27. On the other hand, Telugu Titans went down 38-48 against U Mumba on Saturday to succumb to their fifth loss of the season. Rakesh Gowda and Galla Raju were their lead raiders in the last match with seven raid points. Amongst the defenders, Muhammed Shihas scored a high 5 on his Pro Kabaddi debut.
Both sides have played seven matches each in the tournament with Gujarat Giants at the penultimate position with 15 points while Telugu Titans are at the last spot with 10 points. For Gujarat Giants, Rakesh Narwal has been the best raider with 48 raid points from seven matches closely followed by Rakesh Sungroya who has 47 raid points. The defence has been led by Girish Maruti Ernak with 14 tackle points from six outings.
Ankit Beniwal has been the top raider for Telugu Titans with 40 raid points from seven outings whereas Ruturaj Koravi has been the top defender with 16 tackle points.
