Our Giants are one step away from back to back finals! Against Patna Coach, Manpreet Singh gave a chance to all our young and talented players, who proved their coach right as they pulled off a victory over the strong Patna team. Our captain led them with an efficient performance as he notched up a High 5 in the last league game for us. On the other hand, it was Rohit Gulia’s smart raiding that helped us to march on with the game to register a convincing win and in the process was able to get his first Super 10 of the season. He has been the man whenever we have needed him to come out on the mat and get the job done. When our young Giants overcame the mighty Patna Pirates, we established our selves as the top team of Zone A in VIVO PKL 6 and were into the playoffs for the second season running.

Our Giants are one more step away from reaching into the finals once again. Our Giants will have to go through Bengaluru Bulls, a team which has risen to form this season. They have managed to top the Zone B on the final day of the league games. With our season on the line, we are sure that coach Manpreet Singh will prepare his players well. Sunil Kumar and Parvesh Bhainswal will have to put in extra efforts and take on the talented Rohit Kumar and Pawan Kumar Sherawat, both of whom have been explosive on the raiding side. In our only encounter with them during our home leg, the match ended in a draw, and they came pretty close to defeating us. However, It’s a new day, and our players are more experienced after playing in 22 games in the league matches. They have matured to take on any situation with calm and poise. With Playoffs and a chance to finals on the line, our Giants will double their effort to come on top over Bengaluru Bulls and punch our ticket to Finals of the Season 6.

Battle within Battle: Sachin Tanwar Vs. Rohit Kumar

Rohit Kumar has been leading the Bulls team up front with his raiding. His stats support the same. Along with Pawan Kumar Sehrawat, Rohit Kumar has helped the Bulls top Zone B and reach to the qualifier against us. He has caused many problems for the active defence all season long and will continue to perform in the postseason. Sachin Tanwar has established himself as one of the top raiders in PKL. With just two seasons he has managed to rack up more than 300 raid points to his name. Sachin Tanwar’s seed is his talent, his raids are fast and very entertaining to watch. When you have two of the explosive players in each team fireworks on the mat are to be expected.

Key Giants

Parvesh Bhainswal

If anyone has made the jump this season, it has to be Parvesh Bhainswal. With 81 tackle points to his name he is in contention to be the top defender of the VIVO PKL 6. He will go up against the highly potent offense of Bengaluru Bulls in the playoffs first match. To stop the raiding of Pawan Sehrawat and Rohit Kumar, Parvesh Bhainswal will have to be on top of his game. He along with captain Sunil Kumar will set the tone for our defence and will dictate the outcome of the game.

K Prapanjan

K Prapanjan’s stocks have gone up in the past couple of weeks. He has been playing exceptionally well and has added a few Super 10s to his name on the way. He is an experienced player who has complemented our star raider Sachin Tanwar move for move. When our defence sets the tone for the game against Bengaluru Bulls, our offense will have to be in top form to punch our ticket to the finals.
