Gujarat Fortune Giants will battle against Jaipur Pink Panthers at the Sawai Mansingh Indoor Stadium in Jaipur tomorrow. We are entering the final phase of Season 7 of the VIVO Pro Kabaddi League and our Giants will look to put on a great fight in the remaining six matches.
Our poor starts have overshadowed the spirited fightbacks that we’ve shown in both matches of the Pune leg, so Manpreet will be expecting a good start from the Giants tomorrow.
Our defence still remains the biggest concern heading into the Panthers’ clash. We picked up just 13 tackle points in the Pune leg, with our captain Sunil Kumar securing only three points from both matches. Those performances will never dampen Sunil’s spirit, as he has always stood up when it’s mattered the most in the past and has shown his supremacy on the mat.
We hope that Sunil will fire on Saturday and if our captain cool gets going, the Jaipur raiders will be in for a tough time in front of their home fans.
Sunil’s partner in crime, Parvesh Bhainswal, has been promising in recent matches but the lethal duo has to work in tandem if they are to trouble Deepak Niwas Hooda & Co..
Manpreet is yet to fix the corner defensive worries, but Pankaj could keep his place in the starting 7 after having a dream debut against the Panthers in the previous encounter. It will be interesting to see who Manpreet picks on the right corner for this crucial clash.
We head into this clash having full confidence in our raiders on the back of their recent performances. Both Sachin Tanwar and Rohit Gulia have notched up a Super 10 each in the Pune leg, and they will look to continue their fine form and dominate proceedings against the formidable Jaipur defence.

From troubling defenders with his lightning quick raids to bailing the team out in crunch situations, Rohit has been the driving force of our attack this season. He tormented the strong Delhi defence in the second half, and at one moment, everyone felt that he would single-handedly turn the match in our favour.
With the Giants needing to win all their remaining matches, Rohit’s consistency will be a big plus for us at the tail end of the season.
Head-To-Head
With both teams desperate for a win, we are in for a high-octane clash on Saturday. In the seven previous encounters against the Panthers in VIVO Pro Kabaddi League, we have managed to beat them on five occasions.
It was a tough night for our raiders in the previous clash in Ahmedabad, but we expect our raiders to go out all guns blazing on Saturday and break open the Panthers’ resolute defence.
