The Gujarat Giants have had a fantastic TATA WPL Auction, securing four talented players to complete our squad for the upcoming TATA WPL 2025. With these additions, we have built a strong and balanced team, and we can’t wait to see them in action soon!
Before the auction, we retained 14 amazing players: Beth Mooney, Ashleigh Gardner, Laura Wolvaardt, Harleen Deol, Dayalan Hemalatha, Kashvee Gautam, Bharti Fulmali, Mannat Kashyap, Meghna Singh, Phoebe Litchfield, Priya Mishra, Sayali Satghare, Shabnam Shakil, and Tanuja Kanwer.
During the auction, we strengthened our squad by adding 1. Deandra Dottin, 2. Simran Shaikh, 3. Danielle Gibson and 4. Prakashika Naik. This includes two overseas stars, making our team even more dynamic and ready for the challenge.

1: Deandra Dottin
We’re thrilled to welcome back the West Indian superstar, who became our first pick in the TATA WPL 2025 Auction. Dottin joins us for ₹1.70 Crore and brings with her a legacy that few can match in the world of cricket.
While she was a part of our squad in 2023, an unfortunate injury kept her off the field. Now, fully fit and ready to dominate, Dottin is set to light up the tournament with her brilliance.
A true icon of the game, Dottin holds the record for the fastest century in T20Is, smashing 100 runs off just 38 balls. She also played a pivotal role in West Indies’ historic triumph at the 2016 T20 World Cup, taking nine wickets at an average of 13.55 to lead her team to their first-ever title.
Not only is she the first woman to score a century in T20Is, but she’s also the first cricketer to smash 100 sixes in the format. Her explosive batting and match-winning ability make her a force to be reckoned with in any lineup.
Dottin’s addition strengthens an already star-studded overseas contingent featuring Beth Mooney, Ashleigh Gardner, and Laura Wolvaardt. Together, they form a formidable squad poised to take the TATA WPL 2025 by storm.
2: Simran Shaikh
We’re thrilled to sign one of the brightest young stars, Simran Shaikh, for ₹1.90 Crore in the TATA WPL 2025 Auction. A former UP Warriorz player, Simran has impressed with her 126.95 T20 strike rate and her ability to excel both at the top and in the middle order. With stellar domestic performances and immense potential, she’s set to strengthen our squad. Welcome aboard, Simran!
3: Danielle Gibson
Our third pick at the TATA WPL 2025 Auction is England’s bowling all-rounder Danielle Gibson. With 22 T20Is to her name, she has scored 147 runs and taken 10 wickets. Danielle has also excelled in franchise cricket, with 411 runs and 20 wickets in The Women’s Hundred and 10 wickets in the Women’s Big Bash League. In 2023, she famously scored the winning runs in England's T20 series win over Australia. We’re thrilled to have her as part of our squad for the upcoming season.
4: Prakashika Naik
Our final pick at the TATA WPL 2025 Auction is Prakashika Naik, a talented leg-break bowler and right-handed batter from Thane, Mumbai. Known for her all-round abilities, Prakashika recently impressed with figures of 1/28 while representing India A against England A. We’re excited to see her potential unfold as she joins our squad for the upcoming season.
